Who are the Frooze people?
Frooze Limited is a small company set up in 2009 to produce a range of healthy snack products.
The 2 key people behind Frooze are Phil and Jeremy, who are friends from way back.
Jeremy Dixon is the founder of the Revive Cafes in Auckland. So he knows a lot about making healthy food. He is passionate about getting people eating good food so they can have a productive and fulfilled life. The reason he wanted to make frooze balls is because he has a hard job getting healthy snack products. Most snack products come loaded with salt, sugar, MSG, caffeine, white flour, chemicals that are just not good for you!
Phill Nilsson has a 20 year career as a project engineer for a food company. He loves making little machines and is passionate about producing much efficiently with ease and skill. Phill can build almost any machine and relishes the challenge to build build the seemingly impossible!
Lana Nilsson is into natural foods and product. By trade she is a vet nurse (so make sure you ask her plenty of questions about how to keep your cat or dog well) and also is the best puppy trainer in New Zealand (although it is actually the owners that need training not the puppies). Lana is going to look after the sales side of Frooze Balls!
Frooze Balls are made with an amazing machine that Phil has made. The natural raw ingredients are blended, squeezed together, rolled in coconut and packed into little bags. The machine looks like something that you would see on Wallace and Grommit!

Where did the name "Frooze" come from?
After an extensive brainstorm, Frooze was developed from a mixture of the two words "Fruit" and "ooze" - where fruit is "oozed" to get a ball.
